The Chief Executive Officer of the Chandigarh Housing Board has issued a notice ordering employees to avoid wearing casual or fancy clothes to the office.

According to the Indian Express, the orders were issued after Yashpal Garg, the CEO, saw an official wearing jogging trousers or joggers and a round-neck multi-coloured t-shirt to work on July 19.

Garg stressed about maintaining a professional image and reasoned that people visiting the Chandigarh Housing Board will feel that they are dealing with irresponsible officers.

He also expressed concern about the contractual and outsourced staff coming office in casual attire.
