7 dead as chopper with pilgrims crashes in Uttarakhand

Seven people were dead when a helicopter carrying pilgrims to Kedarnath shrine crashed in Uttarakhand.

Reports said the helicopter crashed near Phata and seven bodies have been found by relief and rescue teams which were dispatched to the mountanious region. 

Officials said the chopper burst into flames near Jungle Chatti, en route the shrine amid fog and poor visibility.

Videos posted by news agency ANI showed fire near the site of the crash.
