New Delhi, Jun 16 (PTI) – In the early hours of Monday, the Delhi Police apprehended a man after he crashed his vehicle into a road divider near LNJP Hospital in central Delhi. Authorities reported that the driver was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident.
Alongside the driver, the police have also detained another individual who was a passenger in the car. Both occupants were found to be intoxicated, according to officials.
The car, which was discovered on the incorrect side of the road, caused the mishap, a police officer said. The accused, both hailing from Noida, were confirmed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The officer noted, “The driver was operating the vehicle recklessly, leading to the collision with the divider. A medical test corroborated the presence of alcohol in their system."
