Thane, Aug 14 (PTI): An extensive cancer screening drive initiated by the Thane Zilla Parishad has successfully tested 2,443 individuals over a span of ten days, resulting in the identification of 32 suspected cases requiring immediate medical follow-up. The campaign, which is actively running until August 31, 2025, aims to enhance early detection of critical diseases.

Chief Executive Officer Rohan Ghuge emphasized the importance of early diagnosis for improving recovery prospects. He stated, “The sooner we identify these conditions, the greater the likelihood of successful recovery.”

Utilizing a mobile van to reach more individuals, the campaign is targeting potential cases of oral, breast, cervical, and various other cancers.
