UP: BSP MP Afzal Ansari sentenced to 4 years in prison

Afzal Ansari, BSP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur was convicted and sentenced to 4 years in prison, in a Gangster Act Case.

Amid heavy security arrangements, the sentence was pronounced by the Gazipur MP/MLA Court. Afzal's brother Mukhtar Ansari too was convicted to 10 years in prison.

Following the conviction, Afzal Ansari is set to lose his parliament membership. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1 Lakh on Afzal Ansari.
