Uddhav Thackeray took a dig at the BJP a day before the meeting of the opposition's INDIA alliance in Mumbai.
Uddhav said that 'Today is Raksha Bandhan... The BJP should tie rakhi to Bilkis Bano, women of Manipur, women wrestlers... They should feel safe in the country and that's why we have come together.'
Talking about Centre's move to reduce LPG prices by Rs 200 per cylinder, Uddhav said that the BJP is thinking of its sisters after 9 years. He asked if there was Raksha Bandhan in the country for the last 9 years.
Union minister Anurag Thakur while announcing the cut in the LPG prices had said that it is Raksha Bandhan gift from Prime Minister Modi to his 75 lakh sisters.
