Etah (Uttar Pradesh), September 8 (PTI) — In a disturbing incident, Reena Singh, the sister of BJP MP Mukesh Rajput from Farrukhabad, has lodged a police complaint against her in-laws, accusing them of assault. Police confirmed that a case has been registered against three individuals as of Sunday.
According to Reena Singh's allegations, her father-in-law, Laxman Singh, along with her brothers-in-law, Rajesh and Girish, are implicated in an attack on her person. On Sunday afternoon, she alleges that Girish and Laxman attempted to film her secretly through a bathroom window while she was bathing. Upon her protest, they allegedly subjected her to verbal and physical abuse.
Reena Singh further claimed that Laxman Singh brandished a licensed rifle and threatened her life, saying, "I will shoot you," before allegedly striking her with a stick. Additionally, Rajesh reportedly attacked her with a knife, causing an injury to her hand, while Girish allegedly used an iron rod to assault her.
She expressed concern over continuing threats from her in-laws even after the initial incident. The police, led by Station House Officer Sahawar, Chaman Goswami, have registered an FIR against Laxman Singh, Rajesh, and Girish. "The matter is under investigation, and strict legal action will follow," Goswami assured.
