A masked man, wearing a cap and carrying a bag is believed to be a key suspect in the blast at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe that left 10 people injured.

Several media reports shared a CCTV footage of the man, walking towards the restaurant.

According to Time of India, a senior police officer said the suspect was seen getting off a bus near the restaurant. The officer said the suspect ordered rava idli, after consuming which he walked out leaving a bag behind near a dustbin.

Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts, bomb disposal squad and dog squad reached the site to conduct an investigation.

Officials from the local unit of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) also arrived at the spot and conducted inquiry.

The Bengaluru police registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act. Police suspect that an improvised explosive device (IED) fitted with a timer inside a bag could have exploded.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the incident should not be politicised and everyone should cooperate, he said, adding strict action would be taken against those involved.
