'Being with Russia is...': Ukraine minister's warning during India trip

Ukraine's deputy foreign minister, who is on a visit to India, called India a "vishwaguru" while warning that supporting Russia means being on the "wrong side of history".

Emine Dzhaparova on 11 April 2023 said that Kyiv respects the decisions of other soveriegn countries, but being with Russia means being on the wrong side of history.

She added that Ukraine sees India as "vishwaguru", and many spiritual leaders have emerged from India. However, justice is an integral part of all spiritual teachings, Dzhaparova said.
