A woman beggar reportedly made ₹2.5 lakh in 45 days in Madhya Pradesh's Indore.

Her incredible run was, however, cut short after she was taken into custody and booked for making her children beg.

According to a Times of India report, the woman, Indra Bai, owns a plot of land, a two-storeyed house, a motorcycle and a smartphone worth ₹20,000.

Indira picked the busy Luv Kush Square in the city as the perfect spot to deploy her children. They made a lot of money seeking alms from pilgrims visiting the Mahakal temple.

Indira was caught begging with her seven-year-old daughter who was later put in the care of an NGO.

She has four other children aged 10, 8, 3 and 2. Her husband and the two children fled.
