Thane, July 1 (PTI) An autorickshaw driver, aged 30, has been apprehended for allegedly subjecting a pedestrian to sexual harassment in Navi Mumbai, according to police reports on Tuesday.

Police officials detailed that on Monday, they arrested Rohit Gopal Gade from Vichumbe, Panvel, under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita's sections 74 and 75, which pertain to assaulting or using criminal force against a woman to outrage her modesty and sexual harassment respectively.

The woman's complaint narrates an incident where she and a friend were struck by the autorickshaw while walking. She confronted Gade, who allegedly exited the rickshaw, proceeded to pull her, touched her inappropriately, and issued threats involving a knife.
