Bengaluru, Jul 4 (PTI) — Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now seen as the singular "ray of hope" for ordinary citizens disillusioned by the "misrule of both the Congress and BJP" across India.

At a meeting organized for AAP workers in Bengaluru, Atishi expressed optimism about the party's potential growth in Karnataka. She emphasized the importance of states like Delhi and Punjab as examples of AAP's successes and clean governance. "When we look at the achievements we have made in Delhi over the past ten years, and the clean and honest governance we are providing in Punjab, it becomes clear that change is possible only when the common people come to power, not through traditional parties," she remarked.

In an appeal to encourage grassroots involvement, Atishi added, "If you look at me, you will know that even a common person can become the Chief Minister." Her comments highlighted the rising acceptance of alternative politics by citizens nationwide.

She further urged, "All our workers should work day and night for the welfare of the common people, whether we are in power or not. Only then is political transformation possible."

The meeting also saw the presence of AAP's National Joint Secretary (organization) Prithvi Reddy, State President Mukhyamantri Chandru, among other party leaders.
