Assam Sees Decline in COVID-19 Cases with Increased Recoveries

Guwahati, Jun 23 (PTI): Assam has experienced a decrease in COVID-19 cases, with five additional individuals recovering from the virus over the past 24 hours, as per data provided by officials on Monday.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the state currently has 41 active COVID-19 cases, reflecting a reduction of four cases compared to Sunday's numbers.

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 50 people have recuperated from COVID-19 in Assam, including the five recoveries reported in the last 24 hours.

Nationally, India has 4,425 active COVID-19 cases, with one additional death recorded in the past day, according to the Ministry.

Official sources indicate that the majority of these cases are mild and are being managed through home care.
