Dissident Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has announced that party MLAs and allies who were staying with him in Guwahati for the past week will donate ₹51 lakh to Assam Chief Minister's relief fund to help flood-affected people.

The Sena rebel camp has been staying at the Radisson Blu hotel in Guwahati after they rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray. They arrived in Guwahati last week after staying in Surat for a day.

Assam govt had received a lot of flak over the rebel camp's stay in Guwahati with opposition leaders accusing the chief minister of ignoring the floods in the state.
