Hours after another explosion was reported from Amritsar, the chief of Punjab police announced that the cases of recent low-intensity blasts in the city had been solved.
DGP Gaurav Yadav on May 11, 2023, said that 5 persons had been arrested after 3 blasts took place in Amritsar in 6 days.
They allegedly used explosives which are used in fireworks to cause the blasts, as per sources quoted by news agency ANI. Their motive was to disturb peace in the state, the report said.
