Amid the search for Amritpal Singh, it has emerged that the pro-Khalistan preacher may have undergone plastic surgery to resemble late separatist militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
Amritpal's alleged accomplices, who are currently jailed in Assam, revealed this during questioning, as per an Indian Express report.
Before returning to India from Dubai in August 2022, Amritpal spent 2 months in Georgia to undergo cosmetic surgery, his associates reportedly said.
Amritpal has been evading authorities since a crackdown on 18 March 2023.
