Days after Indian soldiers marched in the Bastille Day parade in Paris in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and France President Emmanuel Macron, the Indian Army chief felicitated them.

General Manoj Pande on July 17 interacted with the tri-services contingent and said that the marching soldiers had made the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as the whole nation proud. At the Bastille Day Parade on July 14, PM Modi was the guest of honour.

The Punjab Regiment Contingent, led by Capt Aman Jagtap, was the Indian Army contingent at that annual parade hosted on the magnificent Champs-Élysées in the heart of Paris.

The Punjab Regiment Contingent was declared the best marching contingent in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi this year. Capt Jagtap had led the contingent on that occasion too.
