Tony Abbott, Australia's ex- PM has dismissed allegations of fraud by Hindenburg Research against the Adani group as just that, allegations, reported the NDTV on Saturday.

The NDTV quoted Abbott as saying, "It's easy to make allegations. Just because something has been alleged, doesn't make it true, adding that one is innocent until proven guilty,".

Referring to Adani investments in Australia, the former PM said if there is anything, the regulators will look into it and probe, adding that he is grateful for the faith Adani group has shown in Australia.

Furthermore, he credited the Adani group for creating ample jobs and wealth in Australia.
