The prison administration suspended three wardens and transferred the deputy jailer to Lucknow days after a murder accused streamed a live video from the Bareilly Central Jail.

The accused, Asif Khan, was recently seen in a video from the jail, talking to his friends on a live chat on Instagram. He told his friends that he was 'enjoying' his time there and would be soon released.

“I am in heaven, and enjoying it. I will be out very soon,” he said.

After the incident, the Bareilly SP (city) Rahul Bhati visited the jail to investigate the matter. However, the mobile phone used by the accused could not be found in Khan's barracks.

Khan is accused of the murder of a 34-year-old Public Works Department contractor, Rakesh Yadav, in Shahjahanpur on December 2, 2019.
