According to police reports, Ali allegedly abducted Kalicharan, a resident of Prem Ka Gakaan village, following Kalicharan’s marriage to Ali's sister, Shama. Kalicharan managed to contact his mother after the abduction, stating that he had been taken to Bisauli in Uttar Pradesh. In the subsequent investigation, police quickly apprehended an accomplice named Agar Ali. However, Safdar Ali managed to elude capture and was designated a proclaimed offender by the court in 2012.
