India in talks with US over steel tariff exemption: Steel minister

Secretary in the Ministry of Steel Binoy Kumar has said that India is reportedly in talks with the United States for exemptions on steel tariff. Kumar also said that India will seek relief from quotas and tariff from Canada next month as the domestic steel industry is reeling from heavy import duties. Canada imposed a 25 per cent tariff on metal products.
