India reported 38,079 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a slight decrease from a day before, according to the health ministry data on Saturday morning. With this, the country’s total caseload rose to 3.10 crores.
As many as 560 fatalities were reported in the same period. The death toll is 18 more than the preceding day when there were 542 deaths.
43,916 people recovered in the last 24 hours.
The active cases have declined to 4,24,025 and comprise 1.36 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has gone up to 97.31%.

Testing for Covid-19 has also been ramped up, according to the ministry data 19,98,715 tests were conducted on Friday.
