India announces ₹4,500 crore aid to Bhutan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged ₹4,500 crore in financial aid to Bhutan for its 12th five-year plan, after meeting the Bhutan premier in Delhi on Friday. Both leaders also reviewed the progress of a hydropower project in Bhutan. Lotay Tshering, who took over as Bhutan's PM in November, is on his first foreign trip and was given a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
