Virat Kohli may not be a part of the 1st Test vs New Zealand in Kanpur but he isn't away from cricket. Kohli, who will resume captaincy duties in Tests from the 2nd Test, is training hard in Mumbai.
Interestingly, Virat is practising under Sanjay Bangar, who was recently appointed as the head coach of RCB in the IPL. Bangar was also the batting coach of India sometime back. Kohli was rested for the 1st Test vs New Zealand but will return for the 2nd game in Mumbai starting December 3.

Test cricket remains Virat's priority and the skipper has asserted that many teams. Perhaps it's time now to prove his supremacy yet again as he is struggling to score a century for 56 innings since 2019, the most in his career. Since his debut, the longest Virat had been without scoring a ton was in February 2014.
