The deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) may be extended beyond the deadline for September 30 as the glitches on the Infosys run e-filing portal continues.
ET reports quoting various Chartered Accountant society representatives that the tax return filing portal is continuing to face many problems, making it impossible to file returns on time.
The finance ministry has given the Infosys CEO and team a strict deadline of September 15 to fix the issues that have plagued the website since it's launch in June.
