In a global first, Rome airport bags 'COVID-19 5-star airport rating'

The Fiumicino Airport in Rome has bagged the world's first 'COVID-19 5-star airport rating' by Skytrax, a global airport industry rating body.

According to Skytrax, the rating is based on a combination of disinfection procedures, social distancing policies and control, sanitiser availability, standard and use of PPE by airport staff and other hygiene applications.' The ratings are still in progress and Skytrax has only studied European airports so far. 

Fiumicino, which is also known as the Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport, is the largest airport in Italy.
