IPL 2021: Bharat, Maxwell help Bangalore beat Delhi by 7 wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore march into the IPL playoffs with a 7 wicket win as they beat Delhi Capitals in a neck-to-neck competition in Dubai on Friday.

Capitals who were asked to bat first set a 165 run target for Royal Challengers Bangalore. With 48 off 31, Prithvi Shaw was the highest scorer for the capitals, following him was Dhawan who scored 43 off 35.

In reply, at first Virat Kohli’s men struggled at keeping up the pace, however, Srikar Bharat and Glen Maxwell steadied the innings for Bangalore. Maxwell once again came to the rescue of his team with a brisk unbeaten 51 off 33. This was his 6th IPL 50 for this season. He supported Srikar Bharat who took his team past the finish line with a six against the last ball of the game. Bharat scored an unbeaten 78 off 52, the maximum in the game.
