'I am going back home': Barcelona resign Dani Alves

Dani Alves is back at Barcelona 5 years after he left for Juventus, and the Brazilian footballer can't keep calm. 

The Spanish club reached an agreement in principle to resign the 38-year-old footballer and has become the 1st signing under new manager Xavi. He will arrive on a free transfer for the rest of the 2021-22 season and will join the training from next week. However, he will not be able to play for the team until January, the La Liga club informed.

Alves who spent 8 years at Camp Nou from 2008 to 16 has won 6 La Liga titles. During his time at Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, he has won a total of 9 top-flight titles. 

Alves took to Instagram to share his happiness. In a lengthy heartfelt post, he wrote, 'almost 5 years of fighting like crazy to get to that moment, I didn't know it would last that long, I didn't know it would be so difficult but I knew within my heart and within my soul that this day will come.'
