The police have arrested a serial killer for murdering a woman in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills on January 4. The accused, a stone cutter, was caught by officials of the city police Task Force and the police of Rachakonda Commissionerate. With his arrest, two recent cases of womens' murder have been detected. The 45-year-old accused was allegedly involved in 18 cases of murder of women, besides other offences. The serial killer was arrested after a 20-day-long extensive investigation. He got married at the age of 21, but his wife ran away with another man within a short period and he bore a grudge against women since then, the police said adding that ‘his modus operandi is to target women visiting toddy shops.’
