Giving an innovative and organic twist to traditional white chalks, students of a school in Hyderabad are making chalk sticks with materials like neem oil, lemon oil, camphor and rice flour among other ingredients.

Speaking to ANI, one of the students stated that regular chalk sticks, which are made from gypsum maybe harmful for the lungs and the eyes, so they came up with an alternative.

The students from Telangana State Model School also added natural fragrances like sandal and rose water to the chalks.
