Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the BJP for renaming Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel Stadium as Narendra Modi stadium. Gandhi in a not-so-subtle tweet said that it is ‘beautiful how the truth reveals itself’. Gandhi, pointing out how the two stands in the stadium are named after Reliance and Adani groups, once again alleged the BJP for being partisan towards the two industrialists. Congress leaders alleged that renaming the sports complex in Ahmedabad to Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium is an insult to Sardar Patel. Hardik Patel, president of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committees said that the BJP, which seeks votes in the name of Sardar Patel is now insulting India's first Union Home Minister.  Congress MP Shashi Tharoor took a jibe too as he tweeted against the renaming of the stadium.
