Microsoft founder Bill Gates has said he regrets his meetings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was also accused of child sex trafficking.

In an interview to CNN, Gates said he had “several dinners” with Epstein who was financier in hopes of raising funds for combating global health issues. He claimed that the relationship ended as soon as he realised Epstein’s assurance on the philanthropy project wasn’t a “real thing.”

Gates told CNN that it was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein and to give him the credibility of being there.
