HPV vaccination could help eradicate cervical cancer

According to a study published in the medical journal Lancet, the HPV vaccine could help eradicate cervical cancer altogether. Cervical cancer is most commonly caused by the human papilloma virus. Since the vaccine was introduced, about a decade ago, there have been substantial reductions in the number of cases of cervical cancer. The study analysed samples from 60 million people in 'high-income' countries.
