With the world going overboard on digital apps and what's viral on social media, a shopkeeper in Kolkata is promoting the joy of reading, one free book at a time. Instead of loading an old fridge with soda cans, the shop has filled it with books that anyone can come and pick up for free.

Based in South Kolkata, the Patuli Street Library has very simple rules for borrowers. Take one book at a time, return it within a month and be sure to take good care of it when it is in your possession.
