The Delhi government on Saturday slammed the Centre for allegedly 'sitting over' the vaccine distribution system.
Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister flagged the acute shortage of vaccines which has again forced the government to suspend its vaccination drive for the 18-44 years age group.
Sisodia asked that the Centre had informed them that vaccines for the 18-44 age group would not be available before June 10, but how how were the private hospitals getting the doses if there not enough stocks for the states.
Delhi requires 1.84 crore doses for the 18-44 years group and the Centre had provided 4.5 lakh doses in April and 3.67 lakh in May. Around 8.17 lakh was procured from manufacturers.
