Taking a positive step towards helping women who suffer miscarriages, a new study seems to have found a solution. Vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy is often linked to an increased risk of miscarriage. The study conducted at the University of Birmingham carried out a trial on 4000 pregnant women. While half the women were given progesterone, the other half was given a dummy pill. It was found that the women who have had a miscarriage before and experience early bleeding in pregnancy could improve their chances of having a baby with the help of progesterone.
