Administration has been put on high alert as Andhra braces for more rains after heavy showers disrupted life on Tuesday. CM Jagan Reddy's office has written to senior officials and police of the coastal districts as flooding and water-logging is likely to affect life. The government has directed officials to pay special attention to low-level bridges and causeways and to prohibit traffic movement. Five persons were killed in different rain-related incidents in Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and Krishna districts on Tuesday due to wall collapse and drowning. Highways, roads and thousands of acres of farm land were left submerged.
