Doctors at Hyderabad's Osmania Hospital staged a unique protest on Tuesday.

They showed up for work wearing helmets. Why? The protest came a day after one of their colleagues was injured as a fan came of the hook and fell on her head.

Angry over the incident and to protest against the crumbling infrastructure at the Osmania Hospital, the doctors decided to wear helmets to work.

This is not the first time, doctors at Osmania Hospital have staged a helmet protest. Wearing helmets at work in protest began in 2018 at the Osmania hospital after three senior doctors narrowly escaped a mishap.

This is not the first such incident at the 100-year-old hospital building. Previously chunks of plaster had fallen off and injured doctors and patients.
