Heavy rain hits parts of Delhi, IMD predicts more rainfall

Several parts of Delhi received incessant rainfall on Tuesday morning bringing the temperature down to 29 degrees Celsius and relief from the scorching weather. 

In a tweet, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over many places of North-west Delhi, Central Delhi, South-Delhi, Southwest-Delhi, Gurugram and other adjoining areas on Tuesday.

IMD further said that due to the rain, air quality in the national capital is also expected to stay in the satisfactory category this week.

Many areas also witnesses water-logging and traffic snarls due to heavy morning showers.
