After marching for 5 km and stopped by the UP police twice, Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad met the family of the 20-year-old Dalit woman who was allegedly gangraped and brutalised in Hathras. Pointing out to the incompetence of UP police to protect the victim's family, Azad said that either they should be provided a Y-Plus security or he would take them to his house as they were not safe in the Balrampur village. Azad, popularly known as Ravan demanded an inquiry done under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge, as he claimed that the CBI is used only to scare people.
