Instead of weekends, shops and malls in Haryana will now remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to check the Covid-19 spread, the state government announced on Friday. The decision nearly a week after the Haryana govt imposed a weekend lockdown and ordered all shops and offices to remain shut on Saturday and Sunday. While there has been no change in the directions for offices, the govt has asked all shops and malls, except essential goods and services, to remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
As of Thursday, Haryana had over 59,000 covid cases along with 646 deaths.
