Hanukkah: giant menorah lit in Berlin

Starting Hanukkah, the first branch of a massive menorah was lit at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Thursday. Also called the Jewish Festival of Lights, the lightning ceremony took place without the usual crowds in the wake of the pandemic, it was instead live streamed. The 33 feet tall menorah is believed to be the largest one in Europe.
