After GoPro Karma drones were grounded worldwide due to a GPS glitch, the company has issued a statement clarifying the bug and its subsequent fix. While initial reports speculated the bug had to do with GPS and GLONASS satellite systems, GoPro said the drones had issues connecting to the World Magnetic Model that they rely on to improve positioning accuracy. The company has said a firmware update with a resolution will be released within a week, with the last update being offered in September 2018, several months after the Karma had been officially discontinued.
