Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry now holds the record for shooting the most number of 3-pointers in the NBA. He shot his 2,974th 3-pointer Tuesday night against the New York Knicks to go past the record set by Ray Allen.

Allen had achieved the benchmark in 1,300 appearances, while Curry broke it in his 789th game over a 13-year long career. Golden State Warriors eventually beat the New York Knicks 105-96.

Curry has revolutionised the NBA and already owns two of the top three seasons for 3-pointers, including the only season with 400 3s.
