According to a new Standford study, global warming seems to have shrunk our economy. The Indian economy is 31% smaller than what it would have been otherwise. Experts blame the Earth's temperature for the rising inequalities, especially in warmer countries like India and Nigeria. The study found that global warming decreased the wealth per person in the poorest countries by 17 to 30 percent. The effects of temperature on economic growth, 50 years of annual temperature and GDP of 165 countries were analysed. The results concluded that in countries where the temperatures are moderate, crops are healthier and people are more productive at work.
