Global conference in Bangkok calls for action for zero hunger

A new report released by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation states at the outset of the Global conference in Bangkok that about 820 million people around the world are malnourished with 60 % from the Asia-Pacific region. The conference aimed at initiating steps to achieve zero hunger by 2030. The report also indicates a rise in global obesity levels.
