Equal Access to Green cards for Legal Employment or the EAGLE Act could be a big boost to green card seekers as it looks to remove the current cap on applicants per country.

The bill which could benefit the large number of Indian IT proffesional in the US  aims  to phase out the seven per cent per-country limit on employment-based immigrant visas.

The current law is biased against countries of larger population as more qualified personnel fall behind in the line to citizens from smaller countries due to the cap on applications from countries.

The bill also raises the seven per cent per-country limit on family-sponsored visas to 15 per cent.
