As a part of a global celebration of lunar science, space agency NASA is organising a 6-hour-event on on Saturday to mark 'International Observe the Moon Night'.
The event takes place annually when the Moon is half illuminated in its first quarter phase. People across the world will get to take part in celestial observations and celebrate past, present and future lunar explorations. There's also a special treat this weekend- where you will get to see what's hidden on the far side of the Moon because of the wobble in its orbit around the Earth.
You can take part in the event from anywhere, by visiting the International Observe the Moon Night website: moon.nasa.gov/observe. The event is scheduled to take place between 5:30 PM EDT - 11:30 PM EDT, which is from 3:00 am onwards for India on Sunday.
