Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who has been critical of Kolkata Knight Riders' performance under Dinesh Karthik, is not very pleased with Karthik's decision of handing over the captaincy to Eoin Morgan in the middle of the tournament. The 2-time IPL winning former KKR skipper feels that it is too late for Morgan to bring about a change in KKR's performance this season. Gambhir, who admitted that he was surprised by the decision, also said that Karthik has been leading KKR for the last 2 and a half years and the team is not in that bad a position that someone needs to change the captain. KKR has managed to win 4 games out of 7 under DK's captaincy this season. After Friday's defeat against MI, the team is still comfortably sitting at the 4th position in the points table.
