France's Louvre Museum attracted millions of annual visitors before the pandemic but the museum will not witness such footfalls this year. This has not stopped people from making plans to visit the iconic museum, making it the top most-saved place of Google Maps, a feature that people often use to flag places they want to visit.

Of the top 10 hot spots, four monuments including the Arc de Triomphe and the Pantheon in France made it to the top 10. Apart from these, Rome's Colosseum and La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona are also among the most saved monuments.

From Asia, two locations in the Japanese city of Kyoto, namely the Kiyomizu-Dera temple and the shrine of Fushimi Inari Taisha made it to the list.
